i was thinking of putting a speedo on my bike, can someone please advise on a make or brand that is easy a simple to use, i was thinking of getting the cateye velo 5

    How much money do you want to spend?

    I nearly bought a Garmin 305 but am glad I didn't. There's load of choice regarding buying bike computers and each person will have their favourites. I got a Cateye Strada Wireless and am very pleased with it.

    Do you have al Aldi store near you? they do a wireless one for £12.99.Has everything on you need.can even be set up for 2 bikes if needed.It even shows the temperature!! It also comes with a body sensor strap for your chest so you can see what your heart rate is doing-frightens the life out of you goes from 60 beats per min to 150+ very quickly!!
    And it has a 3 year warranty.

    Red Panda - that's interesting about the Garmin Edge 305. I was looking at buying the Garmin 205 myself. Why are you glad you didn't buy it?

    Does anybody else have any experience of the Garmin Edge 205? Would be interested in any comments.

    The things I hoped the 205/305 would do were in the Garmin 60CSx mapping handheld which was more than I wanted to spend. After seriously checking out what the 205/305 offered I had a Luddite moment and bought the Strada wireless, which I think is ace.

    Now I see that there's a [url=https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=10885#Garmin Edge 705 that looks very much like a 205/305 but with a colour screen and more functionality. I believe it's possible to get an Edge 205 for £80'ish quid on eBay.
