Punctures

Ah well, a year which has seen me introduced to the cruiser, the MTB and now the Roady/Commuter.
A year with no punctures.
Till now…
Last week, a puncture on the front of the MTB. Not noticed till doing a sharp left off the road. Somehow I unclipped and left the bike there.
Last night I noticed a loss of pressure in the back of the roady, pinch flat.
Common theme to both punctures, not running at my usual maximum pressure. The MTB was deliberate, trying the ‘lower pressure = greater traction’ theory. The roady was just one of those things. I was going to top it up when I got home.
Think I’ll go back to maxing the pressure again.
Positive side, I got to do my first mid route tube swaps in warm, dry weather.

Keeping pressures up is the big positive to avoiding punctures.FCN 100
