can i change a mtb to a hybrid

I used to have a Trek navigator hybrid but have changed it for a Trek 6700 wsd mtb i found the Hybrid much more comfortable and want to find out if it is possible to change the handlebars and possiblty the stem to make it feel a bit more like a hybrid.

yes. short and higher rize stem will be a good start.
