hi, i have a lovely new lupine light which is fantastic, but it seems to have sent my polar cs200cad mad. rubbish readings on speed, cadence and hr since putting the light on. is this a known issue? if so which computers won't be affected? are cateye, blackburn, vdo or sigma safe from interference?
i'm sure i can get my money back on the polar as its not that old (if not i'll ebay it) as i would rather use a different computer and still be seen and feel safe at night with my lupine.

  • Known problem with HID lights and wireless computers/HRMs in general.

My Light & Motion HID clobbers Polar and other handlebar-mounted HRMs. A wrist-mounted HRM seems to bar enough away to be unaffected.

Not just HID - my L&M Vega LED lamp has the same effect on my CS200CAD when set to flashing mode.

What type of lupine light do you have?

I'm thinking of getting a wilma 4, or 6, but not too sure as it is a lot of money! I'll be using it for XC mtb'ing.
