Kellogg's Boardman Bikes

Looking at getting either a Giant CRS 4.0, Carrera Subway 1 or as a treat a Boardman performance hybrid.

I got the voucher off the Coco pops, which doesn't say it excludes the Boardman bikes.

Anyone used this for a discount?

I can also buy the halfords vouchers @ 15% discount so the bikes work out:

1. Giant via Winstanley £160
2. Subway £153
3. Boardman £305

Plus any advise on the above would be good.

I say buy the boardman, but i'm gonna say that because i have one, superb bike, i got the discount with the kelloggs voucher, i think it may depend on how easy going the store manager is,.

I would argue the toss with manager and state that the voucher says all bikes and accessories and that no where on the voucher does it say .........excludes boardman range.

I emailed Kelloggs to double check, the road comp looks tempting with all the discount £460.

If you read the Kelloggs voucher it says................Not to be used with any other offers or vouchers............... or words to that effect so it's one or the other i'm afraid.

I rang Halfords helpline today and the gift vouchers CAN be used with the Kelloggs vouchers as this is regarded as a payment method not another discount.

There is a voucher on the box of frosties, rice crispies, and so on, take it to halfords and get 10% off.

Buy a box of Kellogs cereal.

Think it has to be the BIG box though!

On the side, A cut out voucher, 10% off bikes and equipment at Halfords.

Thats all there is to say really.

Can't be used with any other discount though i believe, but, some stores let them slip through.

Because he's going to use gift vouchers that he can get at another 15% discount. So if he buys a hundred pounds worth, he'll get them for 85 quid.

Must know a member of staff or something.

He's just factoring that in as well.

195.50 x 0.9 = £175.95

But I never was any good at maths.

Think it depends on the manager also, or halfords are being easy at the moment for whatever reason,
I took mine back as a link was coming apart on the chain, they replaced it with a Sram and a free tin of GT85,

Front caliper was sticking so took it back, Got a free Boardman computer,

I asked if you could buy the saddle off the Boardman Hybrids as it looked more comfy, they just swapped it.

When they found out i was buying a Boardman for the missus i ended up with Boardman carbon bottle rack and bottle.

Yeah could be that also, I'm sure someone on here ended up getting a couple of helmets free too, they seem very easy to me.

Yeah - it's who you know

If they retailed at £153 I would get one tomorrow.

Ideal for work commute without worries - i.e. will it get nicked, ruined etc.

We get them for a discount through the Civil Service sports club.

The Subway 1 is £199.99 in store at the moment.
