Strange clicking noise from rear end

I've got a persistent clicking noise coming from the rear end of my bike. I changed the chain at the weekend, although I didn't think that was the cause, but that hasn't solved anything. All the bolts are tight, it clicks when i'm peddling and freewheeling, so the only thing I can think of is the freewheel. I only bought it this April, so i'm a bit surprised that something could go wrong this soon - I do cycle about 150 miles per week, so I suppose the miles add up. It is only a cheap Shimano singlespeed one (£12 from CRC), so it's no big deal to change it. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

  • Bike is home made. On one Inbred frame, singlespeed, Pace RC31 forks, Formula B4 brakes. I found the cause of the noise. It's the rear disc rotor. A little bit warped from a crash I had a few weeks back. I've been trying to bend it back into some kind of shape, but one part just refuses to play the game. It's not a noise that I thought the disc would make, but there you go, live and learn. Think i'll just have to buy a new one...I was thinking about going from a 140mm rotor to 160mm anyway. Guess i've got a good excuse now.
