Don`t really have a clue were to start been to some shops and have got it down to 3 but not sure which is best with regards to spec etc.
they are:-

Out of the three I would go for the Gary Fisher.
My missus has one and it has proved to be a sturdy little steed.
But that's just my two pennys worth.
Have you looked at the Specialized womens-specific cycles?
Have a look at this....
http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=70059
and this...

There are a lot to choose from and everyone here will have diff opinions on whats best for the money. Best thing you can do is actually try them out...

Also read the what bike thread. You need to test whatever you consider.0

i would go gor the Gary fisher. My missus has it and i'm well jealous of her. Its a £650 for £400 which is a bargain in my eyes. Only poo bit on the bike are the brakes but they are still hydraulic0
