Just got this from Specialized's website;

    Having keirin grips and brakes on the tops of the bars sounds a bit of a stupid setup to me, anyone actually keep them both in place after buying one?

    The couriers I've seen around London have all kept to the original set up.

    It would scare the s*** out of me though... :o
