Cant remove tyres?

Bit of an odd one this, but since I'm still quite new to bikes, it needs asking :oops:

On one of my bikes, I had no problem removing the tyres and swapping them for some road ones, but on my Boardman Team, I can't seem to get the tyre off. It looks like the tyre/innertube is sealed.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

    Hi, i have a boardman team, the tyres on mine were real easy to get off once i broke the seal, just deflate the tyre (obviously) and press the tyre away from the rim with your thumb, you will hear the tyre making a cracking noise as it breaks away from the rim.

    Thanks for the advice :) However, it doesnt appear to be sealed to the rim. Rather, the tyre seems to be joined together to seal the inner tube away from view and it didnt really seem to want to budge... :?
