Do I need an adaptor?

For now I am going to upgrade my front rotor only from a Shimano 160mm rotor to the 180mm one (centre lock, IS mount and caliper mounts on an adaptor already) I thought I would need an adaptor to allow for the bigger rotor but I can't find one anywhere - they make 203mm adaptors IS to IS and various others but not a 160 - 180 IS to IS. So is one needed or will the rotor work as is?

Or should I just admit defeat and buy the 203mm rotor and adaptor!

So you have an IS fork? You need an I.S. to 180mm front adaptor. Forget about the 160 to 180, you need a whole new adaptor.
They do kits with the rotor and the adaptor, IIRC.

    Here is one:

The mount on the fork is IS, the calliper mounts onto a black adaptor that looks like it makes it into a post mount, ie calliper bolts are at right angles to fork bolts if that makes sense.
So yes I thought I did need an adaptor, its just that I can find every other kind of adaptor on wiggle and CRC but not the one I think I need!
