Ripping DVD to MPEG

Anyone know a cheap (even free please) software for a macbook to convert DVD to MPEG
Sleeping with hookers is like dancing your cat on its hind legs... the more you do it the harder it is to convince yourself they're having fun.

    I think DVD is already MPEG, no? Just copy the .VOB file to your hard drive and change the extension. Of course, I could be wrong - but it's worth a go.
    Even if the voices aren't real, they have some very good ideas.

    What if there's more than one VOB file on the DVD and what are all the other files?

    I'm not an expert on this, I only have any idea as I've made my own DVDs from AVI / MPEGs. I would guess if there are several VOBs the biggest is likely to be the main feature and the others would be trailers, special features, menus etc.

    If the DVD's encrypted (tut, tut) of course, it may be slightly more complicated and you'd probably need something to crack the CSS. I run Linux so I can't really help you with Mac apps but I'm sure there are plenty of options! Good luck...
