How come you can't get strap-on cleats? I'd much rather not to have to buy special shoes to use 'clipless' pedals; If I had some strap-on cleats I could just put them on to any pair of shoes I please, and then just remove them once I'm at my destination...

Or cheaper are those fabric bands kinda like to straps that go over the pedal. I forget the name.

But I'm sticking with my proper kit thanks !

Powerstraps - dunno if they still exist - make your own from some stout webbing and some bolts/washers through your pedal cages - length is fairly critical for each shoe though, otherwise they don't hold your feet tightly.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Power Grips still exist - http://www.nashbar.com/results.cfm. Not been able to find a UK supplier.

I've got some that convert Look pedals to 'trainers'. Half the size of the ones in the photo earlier in the thread.

Willing to part with them for a beer token
Recipe: shave legs sparingly, rub in embrocation and drizzle with freshly squeezed baby oil.
