Sooo much easier to roll up somewhere open the back of the discovery and ride straight off - no fussy roof/rear carriers to make safe etc!
If I had enough money I would buy my own rather than borrowing it (and leaving it muddy)
The advertisers like to use a 'forum'which matches their target customer ie out door sorts for a 4x4!0 -
Actually, since we've already drifted pleasantly away from original gripe, I've never understood why so many mountain bikers buy 4WDs when a decent estate car does the job better. With the back seats folded, you can throw a couple of complete bikes into the back of an estate car; that's not possible in a lot of 4WDs.
Someone once asked me why I wasn't taking the wheels off my bike to put it in the car. "Because i don't have to."
I have an old Subaru estate, which has the added advantage of switchable 4WD for dirt roads.John Stevenson0 -
i downlaoded the avant browser and it seems to have got rid/blocked all the ads, including the very annoying one that dominated the right hand side of the page.0
