3 bikes to choose from HELP!!

Hi, just joined the forum, looks like a great place! I am after a new bike and have narrowed it down to 3 bikes. The problem is, I cannot decide which one to go for. We have the FELT Q800S 2007, the FELT Q720 2007, and the SPECIALIZED HARDROCK PRO HYDRAULIC DISC 2007. The Q800S is the better specced bike, but has no disc brakes. The HARDROCK PRO has a funny looking frame, which I am not too sure about. However, the 2 FELT bikes only have 80mm travel on the front forks, whereas the SPECIALIZED has 100mm travel. Will I notice a difference? I cannot ride any of the bikes before buying, can anyone help me? I have put links to the bikes and specs below if this helps!

Its going to be between the Felt bikes I think. The RST forks are truely terrible which would put me off the Q720. The better forks on the Q800, with the decent v-brakes, SRAM X9 rear mech and maxxis tyres makes it a very tempting choice for the money.0

Try and find some bikes you can ride first, its worth it.IMHO there are better bikes about than your choices.0

yup... Have a look at the Decathlon range.
I have the 8.2 and it is really a lovely thing... the 8.1 is the one down... still MUCH higher spec than the ones you are looking at AND the Decathlon warranty is awesome... 2 years everything and 5 years frame!

I already looked at the GT Avalanche 1.0. I dont really like the design of the frame, it looks quite cheap.0

Its a great frame for the money, stiff, strong, but comfortable. Go and try some out - looks can be deceiving.0

yeh, gt frames are really good, and incredibly strong due to the 3xtriangle design. theres nowt 'cheap' about them, trust me - i got 1!Carbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0
