Hi LM_Trek, I used to ride over the Chase occasionally with Hednesford_XC'er and know most of the Chase quite well. However, i have recently moved down South so haven't been up for a while. I am trying to get my ass up there soon though. I f you don't hear from Alan soon, i'll PM you and let you know when i'm up there. Or you could try the west mids forum lot. They have 'ALL' the knowledge on the Chase, though understandably they won't give details on the web as the trails are not maintained like FTD. If you ask nicely though i'm sure they'll show you a few gems .0

hi fully, whats life like as a southerner? When you next up this way?
Im_trek: if you ride up the entrance to the German War Cemetry (watch out for the Beast of Cannock Chase, its where it hangs out according to local press), take a left first chance you get, keep the sun above you to your left, should bring you to most of places I've photographed, pretty vague sorry. I usually just pick a spot in distance and head for it, and use sun as a rough guide, its a bugger in the rain.Where'd that bloody Deer appear from?

Hi Alan, Sorry for the ridiculously late reply :? .
Married life is good thanks. I've been back to the mids a few times recently, unfortunately it's been for weddings and stuff, so i've not had chance to ride up there. I've been doing lots of riding elsewhere though. I may have a weekend free in october though. Hows the Chase ? I've heard a lot of it is closed, and the last time i rode there some of my favourite cheeky trails had disappeared .0 -
Some of FTD is closed due to a cycle track being built from Rugeley to Cannock cross country. I've ventured over to Beaudesert a lot recently, some great stuff over there. Also apparantly phase 2 of FTD is well under way, and some parts are ridable. When your next up here, give us a shout, I'm off all time now, the Mrs condition has worsened, so had to give up work, I'm now her full time carer. So with a little bit of notice I can ride most days now, cheersWhere'd that bloody Deer appear from?
