Front Mech adjustments

I have recentley returned to using a front mech after having single chainring for a while. When I first put the mech on it ran ok with only a small amount of grating in the lowest 2 gears. After messing around with it to try and get rid of the grating I can now not even set it up properly. I'm running a Deore mech with 22 and 34 tooth rings and a bash. I also have a 9 speed casette if its any help. Do you have to set it up differently for dual ring or not? If so how?

The basic principles are the same - ensure the height is correct for clearance, the angle is good, then set the bottom limit screw. Park tools has a good guide.
