IBPindex is a system to know the difficulty of a bicycle crossed route from a GPS track.

The system calculates the crossed distances in each rise and descent (1%, 5%, 10%,etc..) it calculates the % above the total, the total raised and descent meters , the average rates of descent and rise, the total km and the distribution of rising sections.

It is obtained, with this information, a punctuation between 0 and infinite which is useful to know how hard the routes are by comparing them.

You can try it in http://www.ibpindex.com/eng/analiza_i.asp where you can analyze the tracks online, you will also find more information, examples, advice and a tools that you can download which calculates IBPindex in an easy way.
