I dont know what its called, but in my hub of the front wheel of my carrera vulcan there are 2 circular metal things (like a large polo mint!) which go each side of the bearings and the axel goes through it.
One of mine is bent and twisted up, where can I get another one from? And whats it called?
Ive tried all the bike shops and nothing. Im not gunna have to buy a new wheel just because of a stupid clip thing am I?
Thanks.

Sounds like cones but I can't see how they'd be bent up and twisted.0

The other one is twisted and bent because I diddnt put it back together properly when I stripped the hub.0 -

Last time i went looking for these i couldn't get any from my LBS so actually managed to get some from halfords. The assistant had some in there spares box which he just gave to me. After discovering halfords had a spares box I also manged to blag a couple of cartridge bearings for a three peice crank set.
Just never go to them if you want a replacement mech hanger for carrera frame, I had to wait months before they finally told me they could'nt get them.0 -
Ive been to halfords and they said nope havnt got any. My grandad went to the halfords next to his shop too and they said no.
Perhaps if I actually take the wheel to halfords and tell them to rebuild the hub (new bearings) then they will actually have to find one of these cap/seal things?0 -
They can get the parts, just push them. They are just been lazy - they sell the bleedin thing, I know for a fact they have a system for ordering parts for bikes they sell.0
