extending fork steerer

I'm wanting to swap my forks over and was wondering if it's possible to buy something to extend the steerer tube???

They are Fox Vanilla.
The problem is that the steerer would only sit just over halfway inside the stem.0 -
A slimmer headset or stem could solve the problem and might be cheaper than replacing large quantities of fox fork.<hr noshade size="1">You bend it, you mend it.0

What i could do is take some spacers out and find a stem around 80mm - 90mm with a lot of rise.... any suggestions for one?0
