This forum isn't as good as it used to be

After a spell in exile I decided to have a look in the C+ forum and found that it has all changed. My own feeling is that the changes haven't been for the better. It also seems to be much quieter. I wonder what your views are?

    I think this topic's been done to death. The 'new' forum's still trying to find it's way, but it's getting busier. At least the forum is, mostly, about cycling and cycling related topics rather than personalities.

    It is a bit quiet though :? Soapbox used to be a hive of activity.

    Maybe we're a happier and more well balanced bunch by discussing and going cycling! There was, it seemed to me, an element of the old forum for whom it was more important to be part of an on-line community than going out on the bike. IIRC some actually posted that it was the banter rather than the cycling that made them register.

    Hmmm.... people do seem to be talking a lot more about cycling!

    It does seem quieter than C+ was at least on teh bits I read - Race/training/knowhow/touring

    At least the SS trolls get booted real quick. Not been here much but its OK.

    In this context, SS stands for SafeSpeed (the anti-speed camera mob).

    Though in the eyes of some of the Soapbox/Campaign regulars, it amounts to the same thing...

    The things that are missing are the multi-page SS threads, and the posters who had elephants in their signatures.

    Personal preferance will decide if this is a good or a bad thing.

    I have to admit there was a bit of "look how many posts/opinions I've got" on the old C+. I don't particularly miss that attitude.

    :lol: no its just a coincidence ivancarlos,and there was a few more who posted on pro cycling yourself included.It was just starting to get warmed up.As is this site :wink:
