Freehub

I stripped my rear wheel today to re pack the bearings with grease ,it is a shimano 525 hub, when i noticed i have a little bit of play in the free hub, is this normal or could the freehub need replacing, also the ball bearings on the drive side hav all gone dull so i am going to replace these does any body know where i can get a set

    does the freehub work? yes then leave it. there will be a bit of play.

    Took my M495 hub off yesterday and replaced it with an old Deore LX hub. They both had a little bit of play in them. As long as it not slipping when pedalling its fine.
