Can anyone recommend a decend workshop stand?

Looking for a sub £100 worksop stand that gives a decent height (along with build qual. adjustable clamp etc.). Most I've seen only seem to go to 1.4-1.6m so axles/peddles are only 2'ish off the floor when you mount the bike. Am ideally looking for something that makes working height about 3' or 1m.

Type workshop clamp into search above just seems to give a load of ads with no comments on what's good and what's not.

how big is your bike?

most will give a non bending height for pedals.

i have a toppeak and one that is branded as lots of different brands. 70 ish notes and poor. the Top peak is better.

have a look on chainreactions at the ones they list.

my mate used to make his own, he made me one and it lasted ages... really well made, sold it about a month ago.

try find a local welder who'd build you one? :?

Get a velomann from e-bay 40- 50 quid.

super sturdy and well made...they have a twin tray attachment on them too. adjustable height, adjustable pitch.
