My Cassetee does not fit!
So I bought a pair of Black fulcrum 3's via Europe and specified 10 sp at the time of ordering.
I took delivery of a 10 spd ultegra cassette (purchased in the UK) and came to fit. Two points
1. the spacer closest to the centre of the hub does not fit (the hub wont permit the spacer to slide on) and
2. the lock ring is too big / incompatible for the hub.
ARRggghhh
Has anyone else had this problem and mor eimportantly wheres the issue wheel / cassette?

Are you sure the wheels are Shimano fit and not Campagnolo? Do any of the sprockets go on the hub? I thought it was only Dura Ace 10 cassettes which have compatibility differences with 8/9/10 speed hubs.0

OK so problem 2 resolved - apparently Fulcrum 3's come with their own lockring !
as for the spacer I am sure a helpful bike sho pwill provides one that'll fit
how anoying!0 -
Just put my Fulcrum 3's on last week and was very very surprised at how tight the fit was when putting my Dura Ace 10 speed sprockets on.
No problem with the spacers and lock ring though.0 -
This is a common problem, but not a very well known one. Also happens with Campag wheels with Shimano hubs. The campag-made shimano-compatible hubs are not compatible with cassettes which include an 11 sprocket, unless you can get your hands on that most mysterious of all things... the 11T campag lockring... as you say, the spacers that shimano supply with some of their cassettes also don't fit and even if you only use a 12 as your smallest sprocket you still have to use a campag/fulcrum lockring as the thread is different.
It's a total pain in the arse and arises mainly beacause Shimano choose to supply lockrings with their cassettes whereas Campag prefer to provide them with the hubs... hence when you buy shimano cassette and campag wheels you have too many lockrings... just a good job shimano don't make campag compatible hubs or there would be people without lockrings at all!0
