giant scr4.0 squeaky crank

am pretty new to road biking, this is my first bike, there is a really bad squeaky noise when i use the bike, seems to be coming from the crank, (its not the pedals, as i have changed them to check!!) any ideas on how to resolve??? :shock:

    I have a Giant SCR4 and I think the saddle creaks on mine. Are you sure it is the crank? Try standing up and see if the noise goes away.

    Assuming the chain is clean and lubed properly, other things to check include the pedal spindles or the jockey wheels on the rear mech.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
