CR18/tyre compatiblity

Hi

Any recommendations for a reliable combo that I can get on & off relatively easily. I'm looking for something 26x1.25. I'm currently running Conti Gatorskins on them, which are very difficult to remove.

    You're always going to have a problem using a tyre that narrow on a 26" rim
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Vredestein Perfect Moiree are 26 x 1.35, folding bead means they are easy to fit and remove...and they are great in the wet.

    I've been running Conti Grand Prix MTBs on other rims without any problems.


    "The perfect Moiree in 35-559 size ... though I'm not fond of swapping tyres, i fitted these with only my fingers, a minor grunt and a curse" Sounds a possible solution.

    My current favourite in this sort of size is a Schwalbe Marathon Slick 26x1.35. No idea how hard they are to get on relatively though - sorry!
