carbon forks

Basically i've just bought some 2nd hand Reynolds ouzo pro forks which are painted to suit the original bike.
I would like to strip the paint to the bare original carbon, firstly can this be done, and if it can what's the best way of achieving this,

Might not look like proper shiny carbon fibre underneath, normally its fairly dull brown and messy looking uless its polished and all that
