Tempted to buy a Trek Fuel Ex8 2007 in the sales.
I'm 5'11 - thinkiing a 17.5 inch frame might be too small and 19.5 too big.
Anyone around my hight got a Fuel Ex and what size have you gone for?
Thinking of waiting til the 2008 models come out with a 18.5 inch.

PS I will test out the bikes before i buy but just want to get your thoughts.....

Test one out and see, I am 6'0 and went for the 19.5 Inch because although it says its 19.5 it is infact 18.5 The only thing you need to worry about is the top tube length, If you find it too much of a stretch you could always put on a slightly shorter stem.

    Hi there,

Just bought an EX9 (2007) that's 17.5". I'm 5'5" and I can barely get a fag paper between the top tube and the family jewels. They say it has a virtual size of 17.5 but that it's really 16.5. It's all abit strange.

But I think you'd be ok on the 17.5. Best thing is to try it. I had to get the 17.5 as the 15.5 was too short in the cockpit length and I didn't fancy having a massively long stem to avoid sitting up like a shopper if I got it.

    Hope that helps a bit.
