new bike

Im looking for a new bike i have a budget of £1500 to spend ideally i would like a full susser and i mainly do xc stuff like the twrch trail at cwmcarn if been looking at whats about but there is so much im getting confused what would people say i should spend my money on?

    you can pick up a Trek Fuel EX 9 for around that price now, fantastic bike for the money.

    its a sweet looking bike and i think im falling for it already but i dont want to fall for anything just yet the local bike shop should have some new 2008 models from cannondale kona and gary fisher so i might just wait a bit
