I want to fit a Campag cassette to a Ksyrium elite wheel. Do I need any extra spacers or anything else to ensure a correct fit. it's a 10 speed wheel . Also, should I grease the freehub splines when fitting the cassette and how tight should I tighten the lockring?

No, a Campag cassette fits straight onto an ED10 freewheel without any spacers - Campag 9 & 10 are the same width. A smear of grease helps with any potential creaking problems - I use Copaslip. The lockring is on pretty tight - about 35-40 Nm which is a good heave - not quite eyeball-popping, but a good firm push if you don't have a torque wrench.

Has the wheel got a Shimano freehub or Campag freehub? If the cassette fits easily on the freehub then it'll be fine, Shimano don't fit campag and vice versa. You won't need spacers if it's a 9 or 10 speed cassette. No, don't grease the freehub splines. The lockring should be tightened just so, not too loose but not too tight! I just tighten it as much as I think it should be tightened.

So that's why a tightening torque is recommended by the manufacturers then?
