I've just started riding again after a handful of years out while starting a family.

My bike back then was a GT Backwoods, we used to ride around the trails of Derbyshire, Ladybower, Macc Forrest and of course the magnificent Coed-Y-Brenin in Wales.

Unfortunately a couple of years ago, the GT was knicked from the shed, and that was that. I bought an old Saracen Powertrax from ebay to keep me going, but it wasn't the same.

Two or three weeks ago I started going out on the Saracen again, just roads, but clocking up 130 miles in a couple of weeks, not bad though for a 17st 42 year old bloke who hasn't ridden in a few years.

So I've got the bug again, I'm loving going out, but the Saracen was on it's last legs. So yesterday I went out and bought a TREK 6000. What a difference! Silky smooth ride, comfortable and so much easier than the Saracen or even the GT from what I remmeber. Last nights ride was a pleasure, so it's the Macclesfield forrest at the weekend, and I can't wait.
