Campagnolo Mirage - additional cog midrange gives better gear ratios (less big jumps) than 9. Only downside to Mirage I can think of is the levers. If you can, get Veloce levers rather than Mirage, not that they work any better, but the Veloce aluminium levers look so much better than Mirage.0

Mirage levers are now alloy too. The main difference between Mirage and Veloce is that Veloce gets the skeleton brakes and is also available in silver.
I would go for Mirage.. except bike components should be silver, so I would buy Veloce!0 -
Yeah, Mirage shifters have alloy levers (painted black). Xenon levers are made of some kind of reinforced plastic.
I couldn't find weights for Tiagra on Shimano's website (which maybe tells you all you need to know!), but judging from last year's TIagra, Mirage is a good 200+ grams lighter. Plus it's got another cog for closer ratios at the back.
