Hello - I need my Trek 1400 serviced asap, my preferred LBS is in West Wales but unable to visit before Pyrenees holiday Saturday week.

Does anyone know of a good, reliable LBS close to Woking that isn't Evans Cycles?

You're probably going to have to go a bit further afield - Beyond Bikes at Smithbrook Kilns, on the A281 nr Cranleigh. There's a couple of shops in Guildford, but dunno their reputation. Avoid Godalming Cycles - they did a pretty bad bodge on some repairs to a friend's bike that I had to put right.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

It's a bit of an lbs desert around here (Woking) in my view.

I normally bite the bullet and go to Sigma in Kingston or to AW Cycles in Caversham nr Reading.

There's s new shop somewhere in Box Hill http://www.cyclesdauphin.com/cycles_dauphin.htm
that might be worth a visit. Let us/me know if you give it a try.

Would second earlier poster's recommendation of Beyond in Cranleigh, bought my mtb there and v friendly and knowledgable staff. They also sell/service Trek and road bikes

I took my bike to Sigma in Kingston last weekend and the earliest they could fit me in was next Tuesday, so if you're in a rush then they may not be best option...
