Bit of a long shot this one but I'm after examples of a 6 man roster to cover 24/7 with
one of the turns being a 'spare turn' to cover illness/holiday etc..
I've had a look on google but the companys on there accually want money for info  . Any ideas would be welcome as I think if I get this right it could mean
more time on the bike :P .
Oh yea, It's got to work out for a 39 hour week or 234 hours every 6 weeks.

  • I work shifts also, this shift pattern you couldn't beat with a big stick!!! We work a 3 shift pattern using 4 crews.

Start Sunday night shift 11pm-7am finnish Friday morning(weekend off)
Start Monday back shift 3pm-11pm finnish Friday night 11pm(weekend off)
Start Monday day shift 7am-3pm (monday-friday)
On day shift week also work Saturday 7am-5pm & Sunday 1pm-11pm(10hr shifts)
Then the following week off on full pay. BIKE TIME!!

Its not an easy shift pattern to explain but basically we get paid for 36hrs a week every week. We then owe the company 50.5hrs per year that we must work unpaid. The company then gets 7 days cover every week all year without overtime rates needed for the weekend working, & we get 1 week off in every 4!
