GT R Series 3 2007 - Any good?

Just seen the 2007 GT R Series 3 on Evans for £599 down from £799
Looking for a good road bike when I get back from holidays next week and I have a soft spot for GT, seeing as I own a GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc, the wife has an Avalanche 3.0.
Kit seems Ok, I like the looks, I suppose I will have to go to Nottingham for a test ride...or check my LBS where I got all the GT's from I suppose.
