Hi,

I've just taken delivery of a 2002 Giant NRS Expedition (NRS Full-susp touring bike). It needs some work and despite being a bike mechanic some years ago, rear suspension and disc brakes have escaped me. I could do with advice on the following:

Brakes are seized - they were fine when I rode it 6 weeks ago, now the wheels won't turn. Why?

Bleeding brakes - any good books or bleed kits that will help me learn about this (Giant MPH brakes - not sure whether MPH2 or MPH3)?

Rear Shock - it's a Rockshox DeLuxe - where I can find out how to service this?

Thanks!!!

    shock send to TF.

Was it put away wet and the sintered pads have rusted to the disk?

Rear shocks are not normally user servicable, like Nick said, send it to TF.

    Hi,

The brakes weren't touched (to my knowledge). I rode it, put it in a dry garage and now the brakes are 'tight'. I can pull the wheels out, if I really yank them.

The shock will be on its way to TF next week.

    Thanks

Brakes: if they're mph3 they should have a turning device to adjust the pressure from the back up in the resevoir. if you cant turn it normally use a small allen key and stick it in the 2 holes in the side of the turning part, releasing whats blocking it (normally lack of use or dirt), or remain turning it using the allen key(s) if it doesn't release.

i forget the way to release + decrease pressure, sorry
