Giant SCR2.0 and creaky front mudguard

Hi,

My Zefal front mudguard is creaking away under my front fork. It was a bit of tight squeeze getting it in and the edges of the guard touch the legs of the fork. Because of this it creaks when there's any weight on the bars.

Anyone else had this? Or is everyone using SKS instead (perhaps they fit better?)?

I was thinking of greasing or cutting the guards but maybe I'd be better off just getting race blades? That's not ideal though as I commute on it and would prefer to be as dry as possible!!

Cheers,

Derek.

P.S. That's really annoying that my post count has been reset!

I use sks. Fit perfectly on the the front. You'll need a small hacksaw to cut down the mudguard stays when you've fitted them. Bit of a squeeze on the back, the bridge didn't fit between the stays and so I did a bodge attaching it it the seat tube with a cable tie and a bit of rubber between the bridge mount and the frame to stop it scratching. To be honest, you'd probably be able to get away with out using the mudguard bridge. I just used it to stop any rattling that might happen.

If you use your bike all year round I'd reccommend getting the full sks rather than the race-blades. They offer a lot of protection to both you and your bike.

IMHO its worth shelling out the extra dough for the SKS. They're pure dead brilliant 8)
