Morning All,

I'm in the process of replacing my frame and I'm seriously considering Zerofour for their titanium frames. Has anyone here got one of their frames? I've also been looking at the Wilier Mortirolo - has anyone got any views on the merits of Ti vs carbon fibre?

Cheers,
Chris

I had a couple of Airborne (now Van Nicholas) bikes in the past - Ti made in the Far East. They were very nice to ride generally speaking: one with carbon stays was fab, but that was nicked, and I didn't get on with the other one, but that was not a Ti issue as much as a production issue. I moved to carbon after that and in my experience carbon soaks up more road buzz than does titanium, so you get a smoother ride. Tyre pressure plays a big role in this though - many riders over-inflate their tyres (I used to) and I find that 90-95psi on the back, 90psi on the front is good for my carbon frame. A good thing about Ti though is that it should last you forever - you'll never need a new frame (not sure if that's really good or not!)

    Good luck!

He's more machine now than man. Twisted and evil...
  • I had a zerofour which was a very dissapointing ride and poor customer service. The guy does not ride a bike. Best good price Ti frame must be the new Planet X made by Linksy in the US.
