Three questions

They're not related, but I didn't want to take up bandwidth....

1. Why don't Lemond bikes have a retailer here (or do they)? I'm in the market and I like the look and price of the Zurich ( http://www.lemondbikes.com/bikes/road_r ... zurich.php). They won't ship, either.

2. I recently moved into a house, having lived in a flat, and I want to get a turbo-trainer for the dark Buxton nights. Any recommendations? (Not too expensive, plz.)

3. I'm cycling a lot more hills than before and want to get a compact. Is there anyone, aside from very fast racers who need that extra power, who thinks this a bad idea? Never had one.

Hi, John's Bikes in Bath are a retailer, so they definately have them. 01225 334 633.

Buxton born and bred but now live in The Mendips and just bought a Wilier with Veloce Compact (it's an age thing).

Peak, I suspect you'd get a lot more info if you separated your questions and gave them meaningful titles. Also, you could try using the search function. For example if you search on 'compact' in the Road Gear and Know How section you'll get lots to read

1) they have. simply typing 'lemond bikes' in to google yields quite a few suggestions.

2) use the search facitlity on this site. i answered a question on turbo trainers just last week.

3) compact should be fine.

i'd echo Eurostar's sentiments by saying that you really ought to run a few searches within the forums. people generally can't be arsed to keep repearting themselves so you'll find much more info this way.
