Hi,
in the process of building a bike up, just a simple single speed and want to go riding, i've just moved to Lincoln, great for roadies, but has nayone ridden on the coast? thinking Skegness/Mablethorpe, as it's pretty easy to get from Lincoln.
Ta in advance

We live near Holbeach on the Wash, about the same distance as Skeg from Lincoln & there are some really nice 'Sea Bank' bridleways we ride. We find the coast around Skeg and Mablethorpe rather built up, mainly catering for holiday makers, caravans etc.
We are also organising a cycle orienteering event on Sunday September 2nd - it is part of a Midlands wide series sponsored by Magellan - and that will use the coastal area. So if you fancy an excuse to come and take a look check it out - it's also raising money for a local charity.
Full details are on http://www.midlandtrailquests.co.uk0 -
Thanks for that, might just take up your offer!! i really need to get out and ride and thought the coast could be a good start!
i'll check out the link and maybe i'll catch you there.

We are always keen to see new people, so if you need any more info let me know.
You will need to register on the website to be able to enter (condition of our insurance) but it is quick. There will be people there on the day who can explain what it is all about and best tactics etc.
In terms of other riding near you, there is some good off-road in the wolds to the N.E. towards Grimsby and around Binbrook. Look out for the 2008 bicylemania challenge - we did it last year and it was good fun & very well organised.0
