Night lights... Any recommendations?

hello, im after a good front light for winter, and nightime riding. i will be using the light in heavily wooded areas like delamere forest, also the lights would need a decent runtime as well.

One of our Team had the Cateye Double (more expensive version of the EL700) shots at Sits, they were useless, not enough power or run time on full beam. You will be better of with the Lumicycles, which was the most popular light used at SITS.

Lumicycle are great value. Good backup service in the unlikely event they go wrong as well.

Ive just bought a lumicycle set (MEtal Hallide unit) , expensive, yes, bright yes, build quality excellent.

About to try it out in vain tomorrow night

sorry to hijack the thread!!

I'm looking for lights at moment as well, just not sure whats best to go for - helmet of bar mounted. I was thinking of either the Hope LED system with helmet mount, or a lumicycle 12w spot /20w flood combo, and mounting the 12 spot on my helmet. Is this a good idea??
