Park Chain measurer

How sensitive are Park Chain measurer's, after approximately 1500 miles both my Hybrids are showing 75% wear. This seems a little premature to me, is this realistic and how long do you think I've got before I need to replace? I do tend to cycle in a high gear which might be shortening my chain life.

not that bad i think, my commuter bike chains wear out most years...and i don't do all that much in total
