Very sad TT
It was my own fault for not getting the right visa in the first place.
But the beaurocrats didn't seem to help much when I went in to see them .
I have to leave the country and reapply, when I asked if the fact that I had been here "unlawfully" due to a genuine mistake would preclude me from getting another entry visa,I was directed to the website and not offered any assistance or advice. Even though I was very courteous and compliant throughout.
I have a friend cycling down through Vietnam so I am trying to arange a meet at the Laos border and join him as he finishes his RTW tour in Malaysia.
I will re-aplly for an OZ visa there and will hopefully be allowed back to complete my tour.
Actually I am gutted at having to leave.

I met up with my mate in Bangkok and now we are on the road, 30 miles to get out of Bangkok, it is BIG.
Last night we slept in a temple where they have a bone of the Budhha, and the monks gave US stuff!!!! water and food etc.

Finally made it across the Nullabor myself today.
Its a pleasure to be here ib Ceduna sitting inside in an air condotioned room.
The last 3 days have been hot. High 30's and mid 40's. Also had a 44, four days into the crossing.
Other than that the weather was pretty obliging. A couple of cool cloudy days where I managed a 190k and a 180 k. Mainly SE winds enough to peg me back a bit.
And on the last day which was only 90k a slight tailwind which was a blessing as it was very warm.
Managed for water ok. Drank at least 10 l each day. 2 of the Tanks were empty but I got by. Camped in the bush each night accept for 1 night when I thought I would treat myself to a bed. However it was 85 bucks or 10 bucks for an unpowered site. So I stayed in the tent. With regard to Roadhouses, the truckdriver is King. Cyclists are mad and dont get much service or attention.
A humbling experience. Good for the soul and character building.
