slight clicking/grinding in high gears

Hi

I have a giant XTC SX.

I have recently noticed a grinding type feeling through the pedals when I put it in a high gear.

It seems ok on the lower gears

The bike is fairly new and I have not been using it much due to health problems, so I can't see that anything had worn out yet

Any ideas?

    Is the chain catching on the front mech ?

    No, I am pretty sure it isn't

    When I have it on the largest cog on the crank and somewhere around the middle of the rear block it seems ok, but as soon as I go to a higher gear on the back I get this grinding feeling through the pedals. It feels really nasty.

    It could be the chain not engaging 100% on the rear cassette, try tweaking the adjuster barrel on the front or rear a quarter turn or so.
