I'm looking to buy a cheap set of pads.... has anyone tried - Brand-X X Knee & Shin Guards for £19.99?

I have the Brand X knee/shin pads. Very good value for money, if a little bulky. They tend to slip down a bit unless made tight. They do the job well though and I was so impressed I got the matching elbow pads n'all.

If I was getting some more I would consider the Dainese.

Yeah I've got these pads. They were a bit uncomfortable the first time I used them but they wore in pretty quickly and have been good since. Mine don't seem to slip and for the price they're great value - much better than others for this price.

I bought a set of the SixSixOne 'cricket' type shin & knee pads today, and after a few hours riding, felt no discomfort or rubbing on the legs at all nor any loosening after solid riding. Lightweight as well as offering good protection. £29.99 from the chain store beginning with H ;)
