I've just been to Brixton Cycles (they're at the end of my road) and the price of a small favour was "to tell five people we're lovely". They really are lovely - always friendly with the best customer service, so could five people please reply that they consider themselve told.

Thanks,

Ed.

I was thinking of popping in there next week to talk about building a fixed wheel bike to commute on through the winter. I'll definitely pop in now.

Sorry. Had v.bad service there. It wasn't the senior guys who did it. But they tried to defend shoddy work. Ended up going to Cycle Surgery and having it done right. Haven't been back since. No wonder they want you to tell everyone they're lovely!
    But don't mind me... I'm biased. 8)

C'mon... you didn't expect all good news!!!

They've always been very helpful to me (over the last five years) and are a great local shop who help out kids and those with less good bikes as well as people with flashy stuff. Most of the guys there are very friendly as well.

I've been with them for ages now as I find most shops in London staffed by obnoxious Elite racers who really look down at you for not having your kit paid for by a sponsor, or snotty nosed BMX kids who just work for the man and don't have a clue. BC are a co-operative, so to earn a good £ they work damn hard and although it can take a bit of time to get ordered stuff through them, it's something I can cope with.
Oh... and their club colours are the best in London!
