Hi all. just aquired a mongoose rockadile 24" and wanna convert it to single speed. saw at nass that one had a derailler with the chain really reallly tight and the derailler was used as a chain tensioner. any ideas that this works?

Dont know probably just easier to get chain tension kit
Heres one that should do the job if your bike is 8/9 speed
