Bringing pure dignity to cycling

Ok, as much as I love riding in lycra, I am happy to admit that there are more dignified ways to dress. Having just nipped over the road to one of the other offices.
I checked the road to come back to my office block, and saw something that has left a real mark. An old boy was cycling, seemingly effortlessly, along the road on a well kept Dawes Galaxy, that must have been one of the earliest modles. He was wearing tweed plus fours, longsocks, smart leather touring shoes, stringback gloves, shirt with cravatte and what I can only describe as a matching tweed cycling jacket. It was a proper jacket/blazer, to go with the plus fours, except it had 2 pockets on the back.
Brilliant!

I have pass an old guy in cord trousers and barber jacket on my commute sometimes, he cycles along in a very stately manor, whereas I just go as fast as I can...**************
Best advice I ever got was "better get a bike then"

That must be just SO heavy. And think of the low gearing you would need to pull it away from the lights.0 -
But when you need a rest, you have all mod cons to hand.....0

Hey guys, I wear bicycle clips. Am I dignified, or deluded?
