Hi newbie here looking at getting a second hand bike have come across an old 1980's bike by diamant? Does anyone have any knowledge of these bikes? Also the spec consists of Dura Ace and campagnola, although the bike is a bit rusty I may be able to get it for under £50 would this be a good deal. Thanks

I've had two Diamant frames - I think they were made in Holland. Both were plain gauge tubing but a bit heavy - I've still got one out on loan and its a good winter bike. I used it every day for 10 years to ride 15 miles into the City. £50 seems reasonable to me.

One of the advantages of heavier tubing is that rust is less of a problem over time.
