Hi all
I have been lead to believe that the bottom bracket and crank set on my GT avalanche 1 2007 model (Power Spline Cartridge Sealed ) and (Truvativ 5-D with Powerspline) are a weak point on the bike , i have had the left crank arm bolt work lose after only 30 miles on this new bike , my lbs then tightened this to the correct torque also with a bit of lock tight on the bolt threads and i have not had it work lose since. But if i wanted to upgrade these items what do you all think would be a good choice.
I ride mainly single track routes at weekends and also ride bike to work.
Many thanks

Asked a similar question recently and ended up deciding on these two

if i was you, id wait until there is something wrong again with the set-up you already have, the loctite might have solved the whole problem.
that said, if you did want to upgrade just because its nice to do so sometimes, id highly reccommend a set of lx cranks (which come with ext BB), ive got a set on the p7 and they are super dooper.0 -
The models that ciaran list are absolutely fantastic, and in my opinion better than the new LX stuff. But I would wait.0
