New ProCycling
It's really a rather good issue.
They have enough common sense to know national teams in the Tour are a daft idea. And the interview with the blood doping expert is very interesting.
Interesting they reckon they don't use the kind of test that caught Vino very often and they did it on a tip off. So perhaps not a mistake, maybe him and Kash used a store of compatible blood not expecting the test. Oh, and it's also only detectable for days ,not months.

Thats good. I refused to buy the last edition (with Andy Scleck on the cover) as someone thought it would be a marketing wheeze to include some postcards of Lance Armstong. (Here's some news guys - he's retired). If they were that desparate to shift copy, it couldn't have been up to much.
As for the current edition of Cycle Sport...I thought Cycling Weekly had gone to the dogs!'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0 -
For once I found Tom Danielson's column interesting. However, it's for the wrong reasons. Writing about Alberto Contador he says the following;
"He's an incredibly nice guy who survived a brain aneurysm, which has given him the outlook on life that he doesn't have much to lose"
In the current climate is that really a very sensible thing to say?0 -
I didn't get the issue prior to this one, so apologies if everyone else already knows the answer to this. Are we any closer to knowing the identity of the new trans-atlantic bike reviewer? There was quite a bit of discussion about it on the old C+ forum when Boardman jacked it in and a new guy was mooted.
Cheers,
Col.0 -
Tom Danielson comes across to me as a bit of a muppet and a little naive as to some of the practices alleged to have gone on in his team.
I am not surprised he is going to Slipstream.0 -
The new bike tester is Frankie Andreu0

Ahhh. Frankie Andreu. Interesting choice. It will raise his public profile in the UK for sure. Perhaps he'll become popular and people will start to lend more weight to his thoughts on other issues. Did he review in last months mag? and if so, what bike? is the review on the web?0
-
Yeah he did review in the last issue.
it was a Time VXR, very nice bike indeed!0 -
Pro cycling for me is the best of the monthly mags.0
